Cynthia Young earned her MFA of George Washington University where she received the David Lyod Kreeger Award for Painting. She also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and at the Corcoran School of Art. Art residences include La Napoule, France and The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts,

Community College
for fifteen years and taught one semester in
Italy
for that institution.
Cynthia Young is listed in “Who’s Who in American Art.” Her work has been shown in invitational shows at Gallery K, Mahler Gallery, and Gallery 10 Ltd among others. She has been juried into regional and national shows as well as being included in the international show “Global Focus” show in
Beijing

China
and the National Museum of Women in the Arts in
Washington
DC
. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in the
Washington
area as well as group traveling shows. Her work is in both public and private collections.
