MY SPACE on 7th is a unique, NON-JURIED, exhibition
opportunity for wall-hung artwork in any media, and,
newthis year, some floor space for three-dimensional
work is available. Show promotion information about the
exhibition will be on Touchstone Gallery’s website, and
press releases regarding the show will be sent to all
news media in the metropolitan area. Staffing of the
gallery will not be required by the artists, and
commission will not be taken on sales. All artists will
have the promotional and sales related services of our
Director and gallery interns. Invitations will be available
to exhibitors and an opening reception will be provided
by the gallery.
THE SHOW: The main gallery space will be used for this event, which is over 1,900 square feet with 12’ ceilings. We have assigned 76 wall spaces, each comprised of approximately 22 square feet. Of the spaces available,
66 are vertical rectangles measuring a minimum of 53”
wide x 5’ high in two tiers, one above the other. The 10
remaining spaces are vertical columns measuring a
minimum of 25” wide and 10’ high. Artwork will be hung
salon style. There are 5 floor spaces for 3-dimensional work. Each floor space is a 3’ by 5’ rectangle. See the diagram below for the details on the size of each floor space available. All interested exhibiting artists are encouraged to visit our gallery to get a sense of the space.
REGISTRATION will begin on Friday,
April 25, 2008 at 12 noon. ONLY EMAIL registrations to touchstonegallery@verizon.net with a
subject line MY SPACE REGISTRATION will be accepted.
Please e-mail your name, number of spaces and space
preferences LETTER AND NUMBER (see diagram below)
and your contact phone number. Phone call
registrations will NOT be accepted. Please do NOT
come in person either. Artists may purchase more
than one space. The charge for each space will be $60.
The EMAIL registration will be accepted on a first-come,
first-served basis according to the time on the
RECEIVED E-MAIL. NO holds will be provided. The
acceptance of each registrant will be confirmed by
e-mail or by telephone. At that time, payment may be
made by credit card. If you wish to pay by check, you
may provide us with a credit card number to hold your
spot until we receive your check, or you may hand
deliver a check to the gallery. Checks must be received
within 3 business days of registration. We recommend
using “certified mail/receipt requested” should you prefer
to mail your check. Slots are assigned as payments are
received. Bounced checks will result in forfeited
exhibition space.

ARTWORK: Wall-hung artwork in any media may not exceed 40 pounds. Floor 3-D work may not exceed 5 feet in height (including pedestal) and must be hand carried up to our second floor gallery. On a first-come, first-served basis, a limited number of various size pedestals are available. Otherwise, the artist will provide the pedestals. No folding tables. Entrants will hang their own artwork which must be ready to hang on picture hooks or nails. Please provide your own hanging supplies, including hammers. Ladders will be provided by the allery. Walls may not be painted or written upon. Floors may not be altered in any way. Signage and other verbal material must be on wall or pedestal-mountable paper, labels, mat board, foam core or similar material. Touchstone Gallery does not insure artists' works.
VIEWER'S CHOICE: Viewer's selection of favorite artworks in various categories will be posted on Touchstone's website beginning July 24th.

Opening Reception: July 11 (Friday) 6 – 8:30 pm
Removal by Artists: August 2 (Saturday), 4 – 6 pm (storage fee $25/day for work not removed)

The diagrams below represent the 76 individual WALL spaces, each being approximately 22 square feet. Actual dimensions of each are shown below. Top spaces reach up to one foot from the ceiling, which is 12” high. Bottom spaces are 5’ 5” from the floor.
To pick the one or more spaces you’d like, pick the letter and number below, which corresponds to the diagram of the room to the right where it will hang. Be sure to identify the letter and the number of each selection (i.e., D12)
