Phil Gross’ artwork has its origin in his fascination with the use of mirrors and cameras to create pieces combining an array of colors and shapes into geometric images that let the mind and imagination wonder.

A variety of elements are combined to create his works ranging from feathers to beads to wire screens and more, often in an oil base enabling the creation of depth and universality.  The images are then digitally photographed and printed on various media depending on the nature of the image.

Phil Gross received his BA and MPA from Syracuse University and studied at the Corcoran School of Art.

His works have appeared at prior juried and non-juried shows at the Touchstone Gallery and have received awards for “Artist Who Exhibits the Most Exciting Use of Color” and “Most Creative Artist”.

W. Scott Pollard

One of the goals in Scott Pollard's photography is to arouse curiosity in the viewer. Photographic realism is not his focus. "By printing my images small, I challenge the viewer to take a closer look...draw their own conclusion...make them do the work without totally spelling out what is going on." Scott uses a variety of cameras and film to achieve an "abstract" look to his work. "I use infrared film because it can transform a scene. Creating an image that is slightly off kilter...not always what the viewer thinks it should be." Is there a storm brewing or is it just another pretty day...night? The essence of a building instead of an exact photographic "copy". The texture or shape of a plant without knowing what or where it might be. Altering the perception of reality, showing a world invisible to the eye.

Scott Pollard received a BFA in photography and graphic design from Virginia Commonwealth University.
