Waiting

Adrian Amiro has only been painting for about six years. She started college as an English major, but found herself skipping class to paint. Only after leaving college and “growing-up,” she began to have a better understanding of herself. With this her art began to be true to her own unique vision.

She tells stories with faces and color. She believes that art has the amazing ability to affect people, and has made this her artistic goal. She tries to make people use their imagination, without compromising the beauty of her pieces.

Each painting develops with bursts of magic. She starts a painting by deciding what mood and color she feels, the emotion she wants to express, and depicts these ideas with glittering swirls. She enjoys using ink because of its vibrancy and how it can shimmer and dance when exposed to light. She gets excited about a piece when she can’t help but feel a crazy rush of giddy childlike silliness.
