About the Artist
Dee Levinson creates figurative oil paintings based on sculptures from all over the world. She utilizes her own photographs of the pieces she was most drawn to on visits to museums, trips overseas, and even local public statuary. Levinson adds imagination and color to create a unique, captivating painting.
Dee Levinson earned a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed coursework at the Atlanta School of Art and the George Washington University, studying painting under William Woodward and Arthur Hall Smith.
