Eric Jenkins is a winner of Spotlight Art Call 2020, selected by our juror Adah Rose Bitterbaum, Owner and Director, Adah Rose Gallery for a feature solo exhibit.

Eric Jenkins’ wood sculptures emerge from his interest in bricolage: assembling from what is available. As Claude Lévi-Strauss notes in his book The Savage Mind, bricolage is a kind of improvisation in which the bricolur observes, catalogs and then assembles. Likewise, as he works, Eric tries to listen and, in turn, contribute to a spatial and material dialogue.
