In a Public Place – Together/Alone is a collection of eleven street photos from Paris, New York and elsewhere.

The photos capture people in the city – together in groups or alone with their thoughts. They catch the moments when people can seem to display the familiar yet unique and personal emotions of daily life – exuberance, loneliness, curiosity, preoccupation. The shots of two or more people (“Together”) provide more context and interaction, while those focused on individuals (“Alone”) are portraits that hint at their inner thoughts.

All of the photos are Black & White, most are square with a wide, white border, my preferred format. These are digital photos and have been shown at the Paris Edgar Quinet Art Market and at Touchstone Gallery in DC.
